warm remembrance

I can’t allow this day to close without a prayerful and celebratory recognition of this 6-month anniversary of arrival in the mile-high city of Denver in sunny and colorful Colorado.

When I reflect on the last six months, the (five) residential upheavals and (three) jobs and everything between, I can’t but marvel at and behold the travesties, traumas, beauties and truths revealed.

When I ponder how changed in breadth and depth my present life compared to just seven months or five years prior (the total years in Tacoma/WA), I cannot help but be astounded. Astounded that I pulled off a change so transformative from so. little.

Phoenix rising from the ashes. Or, to quote a common-man sage:

And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be.

In honor of the force and guiding light that led me on my journey from the darkness and helped to save my life:

Thank you thank you thank you Mr. Sol
