Since apparently I won’t be moving (or have need to do so) within the next 10 minutes, energies are freed up for other matters, including job-hunting. *In my career, take note, dear universe.*
Found this. Unfortunately I must disqualify myself on ZIP skills in MS anything (coupled with zip desire to learn!) as well as no experience in magazine publishing or liquor industry, save as a consumer.
I’m overqualified in the industry. In the wrong area.
Nonetheless, a hoot it’d be to work for Hooch!
The Hooch Life (www.TheHoochLife.com), an online and lifestyle publishing start-up, is looking for a high-energy, quick-learning Editorial and Marketing Assistant. Our website was launched a month ago, and we’ve got our work cut out for us. You’ll wear many hats, move quickly from project to project, and help support nearly every aspect of our content development and promotional activities. Strong editorial writing and MS Office skills required. Candidates with exposure to online or magazine publishing, as well as the liquor industry or bartending will receive top consideration. This is a contract-to-hire position. Please send resume AND cover letter .

MS is super easy! Play with it a little & you’ll pick it up in no time without taking the first class. You should apply for this job! The worst that could happen is they say no…and hey, No Risk, No Reward!

@lexiemom – It’s not that I couldn’t pick MS up, it’s also that I’ve absolutely no desire or interest in learning. I’m a Mac-er from waay back, baby, and plan to remain one until the day I die! 🙂
