2011 is gonna be a bang-up year. Not an easy year but one of tremendous change and at long last movement in a positive direction. Movement period.
Yes, this is the year when the immense burden begins to be lifted and new directions become achievable. This is the year of connections and reconnections, the year I bear witness to the continuation of the gene pool.
The news I received today in a card is remarkable … potent … promising of the good that awaits this year.
2011 is the Year of the Rabbit; personally, it is the Year of the Circle.
To anyone reading this, the meaning of the words is vague. Nonetheless, these need to be written upon the scroll of consciousness, where all words are registered.
Slowly, oh so slowly but surely, I’m righting the grounded ship; the tide is returning.

So what is the Year of the Rabbit known for? I have always heard that it is good luck to get pregnant or have a baby in the Year of the Pig, for example.

@bizemom – Well, just as Western astrology is very in-depth and complicated, so is Chinese astrology and so each animal year is colored not only by the animal’s nature but variable earth and elements. The 2011 Rabbit Year, beginning Feb. 3, is a metal rabbit and here’s a little sumthin’ about that:

Likewise, while the Year of the Pig is traditionally deemed favorable for pregnancies since pigs symbolize birth, wealth and fortune, it is mitigated not only by those deeper elements but one’s own unique birth animal and influences … so basically just as with Western astrology, there’s no one pat answer for all!
