blue mood, Black Friday

I juuuust {snifffle} juuuuust {wipes away tear} can’t believe it.

Not one haiku left by a dear reader {slightly weepy} at the Thanksgiving post {tissue to nose}. Not a one. {lonely blue mood} {nose buried in tissue}

Where’s your holiday spirit?

Oh. Perhaps here?

Black Friday. Where every year stores open earlier and earlier — some now at midnight post-Thanksgiving, hardly time for the stuffing to settle and pumpkin pie to take up residence on the waist.

    I am glad I have better things to do than stand for hours in the cold just to wait and spend money.

Some shoppers even lay out their attack routes in advance! Now there’s a committed Black Friday shopper!

      @mkirkd – “sorry sweetie no haikus for this old gal” {dabbing tissue to eye} Haven’t you heard?! Haiku’s the new youthful elixir! Hahaha, nooooo, no worries of me in that crowd. Shopping’s not my thang even in the best of conditions! Add an intense recoiling from crowds and one couldn’t pay me to come within a mile of that mass! Errr, mess. Errr, both!

    I wanted to write.
    Holding baby and reading
    Makes it tough to type.

    No thanksgiving here, well food anyway. And definitely none of that crazy shopping here in Oz.

      @trayflow – lol, you need a mouthheld typing device. Or an assistant. Thanks for playing holiday haiku! BTW, miss nothing but American Gross Consumption and Greed on Black Friday. Every year folks get injured and killed in those crowds.
