A ride you won’t forget

Rather, will. If you blink.

Take a gander at the world’s shortest escalator, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Located in the Okadaya Mores shopping center in Kawasaki, Japan, the moving stairs have a vertical rise of 32.8 inches, providing a ride of your lifetime. For four seconds.

Wheeeeeeee! What’s not viewable is the standard set of stairs following the escalator!

Wow, that doesn’t even seem worth having. I always thought escalators were big trip hazards. I’ll take the stairs if there is a choice.

Thought there was one inthe Middle East that held the record. But really, a ramp woud have been much, much cheaper to build (and maintain)
