a moment when ignorance might be bliss

Thursday afternoon, 1:32.

A man and woman following the rain-soaked street past the opened window of my ground-floor apartment. A snippet of their conversation flows in:

He {in a certain exuberant anticipation}: “I can get back my fuckin’ knife!”

Now there’s a story with questions perhaps better left unanswered!

Hello..There is a lot of room for creation there..a hunting trip..a knife left somewhere for any one of a zillion reasons..all credible to life..and then the other more sinister things concerning knives..there is the ever loving food preparation at all stages..before being consumed..and the consumption..perhaps a piece of silverware..missing from that ‘special set’..it is endless..and requires discipline..as the artistic mind flies..Peace Tony

@cryin – Yup, plenty of imaginative possibilities. However, given my very dicey and edgy neighborhood indeed, it’s probably fairly safe to assume that the truth is not nearly as clever as one might imagine. 😉
