Why misanthropy won’t go out of (my) style

Can’t feel badly when the sun’s out in the Pacific Northwest.

Or can you?

Yesterday I came across a new development at my Goodwill:

It’s the Goodwill for God’s sake! It angered and saddened me. Sometimes I just don’t understand people.

When I got "home," there was this note posted in the foyer:

To the person who found my wallet, took the money and dropped it in the outgoing mail basket. I am a terminal cancer patient with nearly no income … the money in the wallet was all I had for this month and now it is gone. If you have any feelings please return it.

This fellow has been unable to make all his rent as it stands.

Yes, you can feel badly even when the sun is out …
