This little piggy went to market, this little piggy went, well, read on!

Faux fur isn't just for coat collars.

A mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs in a California zoo.
The cubs were born prematurely and died shortly after birth.

The mother tiger's health suddenly began to decline. Veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter caused her to fall into a depression.

Doctors surmised that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, she might improve.

Zoos were contacted. There were no cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mama.

Vets got creative.

Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of little ones of another species. The only “orphans” that could be found quickly were a litter of weanling pigs.

The piglets were dressed in tiger skin and placed around the mother tiger
.

A tail tale with a happy ending.
